Abstract

|
A case of cur ling¡¯s ulcer of 4 years old Korean girl discharged from the ward¢¥ on the 14 th post burned day was seen at, the Soo-do medical college Hospital. She-was burned by boiling water, and the areas involved were the posterior aspect of trunk, left side buttockand forehead with 2 nd degree of burn of .20 percent body surface and 1st degree of burn of 10 per cent of the body surface over the right side buttock and forehead. The, patient passed liquid tarry stool for the first time on the 3rd post-burned day and continued. She passed about 200 cc, of tarry stool on the 6th post burned day and appeared to be anemic face with Semicomatous like condition. The. patient was given sufficient blood transfusion .and fluid, Hemostatics, Vitamin ¡°U¡± and antibiotics for The tarry stool subsided on the 11th post burned day, and patient¢¥s condition improved with no evidence. of infection in the burn wound.
